261. cricketjustice - Seems that all that can be said has been said on this matter but I will reveiw. *Man with criminal history is firing asault weapon in residentual area. *Fearful neighbor calls police. *Police arrive and walk in so not to become a target. *When police announce themselves defendant raises weapon and points it at police. *Police fire to protect themselves and kill defendant. *Investigation is performed clearing officers. *Neighbors are no longer fearful. *Some will always complain in spite of situation. *Thanks again officers, Job well done! 262. Tony Light - Shooting a bullet straight up in the air and it coming down and hitting you will not kill you. The bullet has lost it's terminal velocity when it starts down. Shooting a bullet up in the air but at an angle and it coming down will kill if it hits you because it maintains most of its terminal velocity. That doesnt excuse a redneck with a high powered weapon out in the street or yard acting like the village idiot by shooting it in the air. Posted Aug 10, 2006 18:18
